MA, LCPC, CIMHP, RYT
Hi, my name is Kaitlin Naatjes. I am a fully licensed mental health care provider, certified integrative mental health professional, and yoga instructor. I have been working with clients of all ages, sexes, cultures, and ethnicities since 2015. I have certified training and experience in Gottman Couples Therapy, Integrative and Holistic healing, Trauma informed yoga, and Holistic Nutrition.
Originally from New Mexico, I have traveled and lived in many parts of the US, allowing me to gain knowledge and experience with many different humans. I am passionate about working with the whole BEING when it comes to my clients. I truly believe that the whole person includes the MIND, the BODY, and the SOUL. Together we will find your healing in the areas that you need the most.
You will learn to have healthier relationships with those around you and most importantly with yourself. You will find healing from within that will only extend out. I have worked with individuals and couples, and have truly seen growth and change occur with the pure effort from each of these clients. Strength comes from the ability to be vulnerable. Therapy is a safe place in which to create a new healthier you! I am honored and excited to begin this process with you.

Holistic healing can be the start to your journey into self-discovery, growth, and connection to the present moment. Talk therapy, in addition to movement interventions, will unlock the person you are meant to be. Connecting mind, body, and spirit will ignite empowerment and wholeness from within as we rewrite your narrative. What is beautiful about this work is that it is for everyone and anyone! Whatever your struggle may be, I am here as a dance/movement therapist to provide safety as we discover your passions, values and goals. We will collaborate together for long term wellness.
I have experience working with eating disorders, body image, trauma, depression, anxiety, ADHD, and mood disorders through talk therapy and dance therapy. Together we will release any guilt, shame, or other negative impacts in order to give you better control of your life. We will discover and implement new coping skills and processes, as well as provide a safe space for your pain to be held. I will work with you at your own speed, as I know this will provide discomfort at some points. We may not be able to change the past, but we are able to rewrite our narrative moving into our future.

Have you been feeling overwhelmed or stuck lately? If every day disruptions like anxiety, depression, addiction, relationship challenges, or work burnout are causing you stress, I would love to walk alongside you while helping you navigate your path toward a more mindful and purposeful life. My focus is helping my clients - both individuals and couples - recognize and identify their inner strengths, communicate effectively and openly, while also cultivating a nurturing and accepting therapeutic environment in the process.
I will help you reconnect with yourself or your partner and discover your inner power(s) by applying a holistic, person-centered, collaborative approach. I believe the key to a successful therapeutic experience is to heal the mind, body, and the soul. I do this by integrating evidence-based practices such as mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, sound healing, and HeartMath techniques into our talk therapy sessions. I have a keen interest in helping you feel whole in a way that feels natural and authentic.
I have experience treating relationship issues, addiction, depression, anxiety, trauma, and grief as well as certified training and experience in Gottman Couples Therapy.

You may feel like you don't know who you are or where you're going. Possibly feeling like you can't figure out what you want to do, what you're good at doing or maybe you are feeling pushed to do or be something else? You could be struggling to put these pieces together, leaving you feeling lost or like you're stuck in the mud. You may not know how to fix it, how to find the resources or how to get the support you need to figure things out. You could even be starting to feel alone, down or so hurt it feels like you're slowly withering away. These worries could build up until you can't take it anymore. You can get through this and put the pieces in your life back together. I can help you get through your struggles.
I became a therapist because I know what it is like to feel alone with problems, and how painful it is to not have the support, guidance or resources needed. I know that when trust is broken or privacy is betrayed how important it is to have support that is open, warm and sincere. I have learned that every issue deserves to be heard and respected. No problem, thought or feeling is too small. I am dedicated to helping people find a way to quiet the inner voice that says “I can’t succeed”, or holds people back from knowing or doing what makes their heart skip and feel overjoyed. I believe that everyone has a sparkling gem inside that will lead us to who we are.
As part of the LGBTQIA+ community and minority population, I know how difficult it is to speak up or stand up for ourselves in order to get through the hurdles and expected standards of behaviors. I’m deeply passionate about helping people find courage and strength to express the pain in order to heal and grow in their own timing and their own way. I am committed to fully understanding each person's different needs by connecting the mind with the spirit and body so we can get back to the root of who we are. Over the past 10 years of studying and learning about the history of my own roots, my unique blend of Cherokee Indian and African heritage, I found that my bloodline has a history of Kemetic Reiki Healing. As I learned more about how my family lineage practiced healing through nature medicines, plant oils, and energy work, not only did my spirituality and faith in holistic healing deepen, it inspired me to become certified in Usui Reiki Energy Healing 3 years ago. In my practice and self healing I have found that Reiki strengthens the body and minds ability to heal emotional wounds. I blend Reiki Energy Healing with the traditional therapy process to help identify and heal the different needs or areas where we are mentally, emotionally and physically struggling or blocked.
I feel your pain, and understand how difficult it can be to feel lost or alone. Your struggles, thoughts, and feelings matter. I am here to support you in putting the pieces back together and help guide you to create the unique and magical life you were meant to live. Let's begin today.

BELLA VALORE PRACTICE ADMINISTRATOR
Hello! My name is Julia and I am the practice administrator at Bella Valore.
My background is in mental health agency work, most recently supporting individuals navigating eating disorder treatment. I am also currently a graduate student in the second year of my own counseling training program. As I have welcomed more mindfulness into my life over the past few years, I have felt the need and desire to intentionally shift my focus to surrounding myself with like-minded individuals who value holistic approaches to healing in the therapeutic space. I am grateful to have found that home here with Bella Valore and this team of warm and compassionate therapists.
My main goal as an administrator is to provide a safe and supportive environment for our team so they can prioritize showing up as their most whole and energized self with clients. When I am not working, I can be found taking plenty of walks and soaking up the bits of nature scattered throughout the city, spending lots of playful time with my two cats, rewatching Hayao Miyazaki’s films or the Great British Baking Show, and taking dance classes or working on projects within Chicago’s creative communities.
